Monday 30 June 2008 – Lovina, Bali, Indonesia
An indolent end to the Financial Year! I spent the day lazing around Puri Bagus, lounging and reading more Somerset Maugm stories. In fact I didn’t leave the resort all day!
This evening the resort restaurant put on a more comprehensive buffet accompanied by some performances of traditional dance and music. The buffet included bebe guling, Bali’s legendary dish of roast suckling pig – a rich dish, as well as the rice cakes for dessert that had so perplexed us at the cooking class. Over all, a much better idea than the singing/guitar duo I’d noticed performing here on other evenings.
