Tuesday 26 June 2001 – Jahor Bahru
Despite feeling a bit crook with a head cold, which had started to make itself felt yesterday afternoon, I took myself over to Jahore Bahru to see if I could find any cheaper back packs. Despite the one store I could find selling such goods having a sale (which had appeared to finish after lunch when I returned) the prices seemed similar so decided to buy in Singapore after all.
Whilst I was there, I received a call from a Singapore Chinese Newspaper and was interviewed on my thoughts of the Festival. Cindy Lim had put them onto me, although I’d expected the call yesterday. I caught the local bus across the causeway and then the MRT from Kranji station. Feeling worse with the cold so went home for an early night.
